For work we need:

5 liter plastic bottle(they are cylindrical and square - there is no difference);

disposable spoons 50 pcs;

foil (oilcloth) for decorating bouquets of blue or red. (the main thing is not to get wet);

thick white bag;

cover red from bottle 1,5l.

glue and hot gun;

large scissors (I have kitchen ones).

So let's get started. First you need to remove the handle on the lid, if there is one. Wrapping it up bottle in oilcloth and glued with tape (Fig. 1,2.)

Now let's start working with spoons. Carefully cut off the handle of the spoon. Difficulties may arise here - spoons crack. In order to avoid this, I did not cut it to the exact size. "spine", but left 2 cm and slowly cut it to the desired length (Fig. 3) Cut two spoons in half for eyebrows. One will not work - they will crack. If it's not straight, you can sharpen the edges with a nail file.

When all the spoons are cut, we begin to assemble our Santa Claus. Glue the spoons to the bottom bottles, form the hem of the fur coat (Fig. 4) A tip is to warm up the gun in advance so that the glue is liquid.

From a white bag and cut a rectangle, (if the package is wrinkled, it needs to be ironed) and glue it on bottle(Fig. 5) glue on eyes, nose, eyebrows (Fig. 6)

Let's start with the beard. We start from the very bottom, slowly rising to the top (Fig. 7) It doesn’t matter if the package peeks out from under the spoons - it can be cut off with nail scissors. (Fig. 8)

Form a hat with spoons. Before you start making the pompom, unscrew the lid and lower a piece of tinsel or strong thread (for loop) and close the lid.

We pass tinsel along the hem, hat and around the pompom. (Fig. 9) Our grandpa is ready. HAVE FUN NEW YEAR!

To create Santa Claus with our own hands, we stock up on the following materials:

  • plastic bottle with a capacity of 0.5 l
  • padding polyester
  • nylon stockings (white and flesh color)
  • decorative braid
  • faux fur
  • pieces of velvet and satin (red color)
  • beads (for eyes)
  • cardboard

Making Santa Claus with your own hands from a plastic bottle - step-by-step description of the master class:

  1. You need to wrap an empty plastic bottle in a prepared piece of padding polyester and sew up the edges. We fill the upper part with padding polyester, forming a round “head” of the future toy, and tighten the “neck” area tightly with thread. We stretch a nylon stocking over the resulting blank of the future Santa Claus, the end of which is sewn.
  2. We tie the thread around the doll’s “neck” again.
  3. We pull a white stocking over the nude stocking and pull it with a thread in the “neck” area.
  4. Now you need to wrap one side of the stocking up, and add padding polyester to the resulting “pocket”. The main task at this stage is to form the nose of Santa Claus, as well as the chin, cheeks and places for the eyes.
  5. For the arms of our toy we use wire, which should be wrapped in a piece of padding polyester. We sew the resulting “handles” to the body, and “dress” the edges in mittens made of white nylon stocking.
  6. We wrap the doll's body in padding polyester and sew the edges together.
  7. We make a “fur coat” from red velvet, and sew fur cuffs onto the sleeves.
  8. This toy Santa Claus is easy to make with your own hands - just choose a bottle of the appropriate size. If you plan to place the toy under a large Christmas tree, it is better to choose a five-liter container. To create Santa Claus as a decorative element (on a shelf or table), a bottle of smaller “dimensions” is suitable. Don’t forget to trim the bottom of the “fur coat” with strips of fur. Cut a circle out of cardboard and glue it to the bottom of the bottle. Now you need to carefully fold the edges of the fur onto the cardboard and glue the decorative tape.
  9. All that remains is to disguise the front seam with a fur strip and decorate the “fur coat” with braid. For the beard, mustache and hairstyle of Santa Claus, we use fur with long pile.
  10. To make a hat you will need a piece of red velvet, padding polyester, fur and braid. The finished hat needs to be sewn onto the head of Santa Claus.
  11. We also sew a gift bag from scrap materials - satin, braid, and use padding polyester as a filler. For reliability, it is better to sew the bag to the hand of Santa Claus. We add a beautiful staff, which we also fix in the right place.
  12. Our Santa Claus from a plastic bottle is ready! As you can see, the master class is simple and extremely interesting. With such a handsome fairy-tale Grandfather, the New Year will be remembered for a long time.

What is Santa Claus from a bottle?

Actually In fact, in order to make a Santa Claus craft from a bottle with your own hands, you only need desire and a creative approach. Because for creativity you only need a bottle, several pieces of fabric of different shades (satin ribbons are also suitable), the main thing is that among them there is red fabric, ordinary cotton wool and glue or sewing threads with a needle for connecting and securing the parts. Well, even a child can make such a funny “toy”!

If you look at the many options for such unusual crafts, you can see some that are downright scary and even ugly. However, this is not at all a reason to abandon the original idea. After all, the result depends on how hard you try and how much soul you put into creativity, and it can turn out different. Therefore, readers of this article who are enthusiastic about The idea of bringing a fairy-tale Santa Claus out of a bottle with your own hands will definitely result in a charming, kind and cheerful magical grandfather.

What materials will be needed

So, we have already said above that in order to embody Santa Claus from a bottle, you will need basic materials that will certainly be found in any home. This:

  • bottle (both plastic and glass);
  • fabric or satin ribbons;
  • cotton wool

You should also think in advance about how the parts are supposed to be connected. For example, you can attach a beard and a bag with gifts using thread and a needle or glue.

What character will it be?

Modern children know that a cheerful grandfather who brings gifts can have two faces. The first of them is the domestic Santa Claus. If some adults forgot or didn’t notice, then he wears a sheepskin coat, with a staff and is certainly paired with the Snow Maiden. The second is that Santa Claus is an “alien” from America. It is he who gives gifts not in the usual way to Russian children, but by throwing them down the chimney. Therefore, he travels on magical deer that gallop not on the ground, but right across the sky.

If you want to make Santa Claus from a bottle with your own hands, you need to think in advance about which character you want to embody. In order not to make mistakes when performing a craft, you need to carefully study what distinguishes one magical old man from another.

Who is Santa Claus?

Father Frost is the original Russian lord of winter, who has been throwing gifts under the Christmas tree for children for hundreds of years. The history of this old man goes deep into antiquity. And if you study it in more detail, it will become clear that Santa Claus is a Slavic god who rules winter and cold, lives in the forest and demands young girls as a “tribute”.

It is the last moment that explains to us the presence of the eternal companion of Santa Claus. After all, this is not a sister, not a wife, not a mother, after all, but a granddaughter. That is, a very young girl.

Thus, Santa Claus is a character adapted for the perception of children, implying a serious and sometimes very cruel god in whom the ancient Slavs believed.

If readers of the article decide to do exactly the same as in the picture below.

Who is Santa Claus?

Santa Claus, or Saint Nicholas, is a fairy-tale character who comes to children not on New Year’s, but on Christmas, since in the West this particular holiday enjoys special advantage.

Russian citizens would have no idea who Santa Claus is if it were not for the proliferation of all kinds of American films on this topic. Although in fact, the prototype of Santa is Nicholas the Wonderworker, a Christian saint. He was known for giving gifts to children from poor families.

If you want to put just such a winter wizard on the New Year's table, you should take into account that his outfit is red pants with a black belt and a large buckle and a warm jacket. And the companions of the Western grandfather are magical reindeer.

Can I use an unopened bottle?

According to Russian superstition, a person with an empty container is destined for failure. That is why, to complete an interesting craft for the New Year, it is better to use not an empty bottle, but a new one, not yet opened.

An original option, especially for a group of adults, would be Santa Claus on a bottle of champagne (made with your own hands). However, in this case, it is important to design the craft in such a way that it can be easily opened at the right time. To do this, you should separately sew a cover that imitates a magical old man, put it on the prepared bottle and tighten it with a belt (if it is Santa Claus) or a belt (if it is Grandfather Frost).

If the craft is done together with children

Children may also like the idea of making Santa Claus out of a bottle with their own hands, and they will take part in its implementation with great pleasure. However, in this work it is wiser not to use a bottle containing alcohol. Because there is no need to accustom your child to “adult” products from an early age. It is best to use a soda or baby champagne bottle.

It is only important for parents to remember that if the children are still small, there is a risk that they will break the glass Santa Claus and be injured by the fragments. Therefore, it is better to give preference to a plastic bottle, or not to allow children to play with a fragile craft, but to open it without fail in the presence of adults.

Where to start doing Santa Claus

So, we have already mentioned what materials will be required to complete the original craft. You can make Santa Claus with your own hands from a plastic bottle or from a glass bottle, already empty or not yet opened. There are also no specific instructions regarding the size of the fairy-tale character. Therefore, you should independently determine which bottle you should bring from the store.

After the bottle, cotton wool and satin ribbons or pieces of fabric are ready, you need to think carefully and decide what kind of Santa Claus you want to get: domestic or Western. And then move on to fulfilling this fairy-tale character.

Santa Claus from a bottle

So, the DIY “Santa Claus from a bottle” craft is a step-by-step guide:

  1. First, you need to take a bottle and use fabric, dough, colored paper or any other material to depict a face: eyebrows, eyes, nose, mouth, red (from frost) cheeks.
  2. Then wrap the bottle in red cloth or ribbons. To give maximum realism, many craftsmen first cover a glass vessel with padding polyester or cotton wool to create volume - this is a fur coat, after all, not a robe.
  3. Next, you should build a hat for the fairytale grandfather. To do this, you need to wrap the neck (along with the lid) with fabric or ribbons.
  4. Now you can start working on your hands. They can be easily imitated by taking strips of cardboard and wrapping them with ribbons or fabric. And then glue or sew to the frame - the bottle.
  5. It is also very important not to forget about the bag. After all, Santa Claus does not come to any holiday without him. It's also very easy to do. You need to cut out a medium-sized circle, carefully gathering it along the edges, tie it with a beautiful ribbon and “hand it over” to the magical grandfather.
  6. And finally, to complete the image of Santa Claus, you need to use cotton wool and glue or thread and a needle to create hair, a mustache and a beard on the face, and then a “fur” edging along the edges of the hat, the bottom of the sheepskin coat and the cuffs of the sleeves.

That's the whole “glass” Santa Claus. By the way, he definitely needs to make the Snow Maiden as a couple. It just requires a smaller bottle. Otherwise, the execution of this character is practically no different from the instructions described above. True, the Snow Maiden should make a beautiful kokoshnik and a long braid, and for the sheepskin coat use not red fabric or ribbons, but blue. Finally, the craft should be decorated with sequins, bugles and beads.

Santa Claus from a bottle

In fact, master classes on the topic “Fairytale Santa Claus, Father Frost and Snow Maiden from a bottle with your own hands” are not much different from each other. After all, they are based on the same principle, and the materials for their implementation will require exactly the same.

However, as mentioned above, if you want to make a real Western Santa, he needs to buy a couple of toy deer in the store, which should then be assembled into a sleigh and attached to a sleigh decorated with rain and sparkles.

In addition, such a magical character does not have a Snow Maiden, and the clothes are completely different. This should be remembered when performing an original craft.

Thus, this unusual craft, which will certainly delight both adults and children, is very simple to do. The main thing is to give free rein to your imagination and allow yourself, at least for a moment, to become a carefree child.

Do you want to beautifully decorate the table and interior for New Year's Eve? The traditional hero of the holiday is Father Frost. You can make an original souvenir from it with your own hands. Read tips, get ideas. They are all very simple and understandable. Even a beginner can make such a product.

Materials and tools

To make a beautiful and original craft “Father Frost and the Snow Maiden”, you just need to take the available materials or buy them. They are inexpensive, but will allow you to make a very decorative, elegant thing. So, you will need the following:

  • The base can be any bottle, glass or plastic. You can use unnecessary empty one or one that will be served at the table on New Year's Eve. Christmas tree decorations are made from small bottles or jars of yogurt or baby food, and full-fledged figures for the interior are made from a five-liter water bottle.
  • Decorative materials. The choice depends on what you have on hand or at your local craft store. It can be: bias tape, fabric, cotton wool, padding polyester, tinsel, sequins, beads, buttons, lace, braid, snowflakes, paper, foil - in a word, everything your imagination desires.
  • Scissors, glue, needle and thread, paints and brushes.

The necessary tools are determined by the method in which you will make the craft.

Santa Claus (do-it-yourself) from a bottle of champagne

You will be making the actual packaging or garment for the base, meaning it should be removable. This offers some benefits:

  • Allows you to use several times (for the next year).
  • Suitable as a separate gift for relatives (they will buy champagne themselves).
  • Such a souvenir can be made for sale.

Do-it-yourself Santa Claus craft from champagne is done in different ways. The methods may be:

  • Creating a costume from ribbons or with subsequent decoration.
  • Sewing or knitting clothes for figures.
  • Painting and surface decoration.

Choose the method that makes the most sense to you. Try a few or use what you have at home.

We sew a suit

Making Santa Claus from a bottle with your own hands is very simple, if you make an outfit separately, and then just put champagne in it. You are not a fashion designer, and comfort of clothing is not required here. The main thing is that she looks beautiful. A coat for Santa Claus can be sewn from two halves (for the front and back).

This is done like this:

  1. Draw an outline like a shirt or robe on a piece of paper or directly on fabric. Make the sleeves one piece with the front or back. It makes no sense to cut out the armhole and sew them in separately. Simplify everything. Make both parts the same.
  2. Sew the resulting parts from the inside out using a machine or by hand.
  3. Turn out and decorate at your discretion with any white trim (lace, braid, ribbon, frill, tinsel).

You don’t have to make sleeves for the costume, but if you want the Santa Claus craft to look more realistic, not only sew them, but also fill them with something (cotton wool, padding polyester or other stuffing). The bottom should be sewn up and something similar to mittens should be made. Make a hat or cap.

We tie the bottle

In this way, Santa Claus can be made from plastic or glass bottles. It is better to do this work with crochet.

The easiest way is to create a tight-fitting red suit and sew white decoration on top. It can be either knitted or any other. They do it, of course, by immediately tying in a different color, but it’s more complicated. If you only know how to work with knitting needles and you have them, make a red “tube” on four knitting needles or circular knitting needles according to the principle of a regular sock.

We use ribbons and bias tape

A do-it-yourself elegant Santa Claus is made from a bottle by gluing ribbons to the base or directly to the bottle. It is better to use the first option so that the suit is removable. Why do this was stated above. So, do the following:

The Snow Maiden is made in exactly the same way, only the colors of the ribbons are different, and instead of a hat they make a kokoshnik.

Paint the bottle

If you don't have any time, use other simple methods. The Santa Claus craft from a bottle can be made using regular surface painting.

To do this, do the following:

  1. If possible, it is better to soak the bottle labels, although this is not necessary. The same applies to degreasing the surface.
  2. Take red paint and a sponge or wide brush. Cover the surface of the bottle with it. In the case of champagne, up to the top golden label. Acrylic fits well. You can buy a can of white paint and tinting (red for Santa Claus, blue for Snow Maiden). You may have to do more than one layer, or even better, first prime it with white or a special compound. In a word, try to achieve an even colored surface.
  3. After drying, you create decor: glue on white trim from ribbons, lace, and tinsel. You can even use elements of decoupage, that is, ready-made napkins with decor, stencils.
  4. Treat the finished product with clear varnish to add shine and greater durability.

Plastic craft bottles: master class

Everyone usually has this material. Depending on the size of the bottle, you can make either a Christmas tree toy or a full-fledged interior decoration.

To create such a souvenir, any of the above technologies is suitable.

You can try another quick method. To make a beautiful and neat Santa Claus from plastic bottles, you need to do the following:

  1. Take a bottle and cover it with paper. This makes it easier to work in the future.
  2. Wrap the bottle with cloth or a red bag, together with the lid, and secure it with glue.
  3. Use cotton strands to trim coats and hats.
  4. Draw a face on cardboard and glue it to the base.
  5. Make hands from rectangles of fabric. Decorate the bottom with cotton wool in the form of cuffs. Glue the elements to the bottle.
  6. All that remains is to make the beard and accessories. The gift bag is usually sewn, and the staff is made from a pencil, rod or stick wrapped in satin ribbons. A beard is usually made from cotton wool, but it can even be made from plastic spoons.

Using the same technology, you can make any figurine or even create a plot composition. So, the “Father Frost and Snow Maiden” craft will take its rightful place on your holiday table or under the Christmas tree.

Children will do this with great pleasure. If you may not entrust a bottle of champagne for the holiday table to your child, then you will be happy to give away the plastic “waste” for creative research.
